I recently purchased a new OEM bumper for my EK hatch and dropped it off at a body shop to have it painted last week. I picked it up yesterday and noticed that he had painted the lower grill area VSM, the same as the rest of the bumper.

I take responsibility for this because I didn't tell him not to paint it, but now I'm wondering if I should just leave it or have it redone. In all honesty, it looks very good just sitting on my floor, but I'm not sure how it will look once it's installed on the car.

Anybody else have a bumper with the lower grill painted? I guess I'm just curious to see how it looks on a car.

Any pics / advise???

mask the bumper off, scuff up the grill, and use either a flat black spray paint or if you look around there's a honda black bumper paint.

I'm awaiting delivery of my SiR lip today and will install the freshly painted bumper and new lip and shoot some photos. I'll post some pics tomorrow and see what everybody thinks about the painted lower grill.
