Any way of raising rev limit....
....without chipping or buying a standalone ECU?
all i want to do is raise the rev limit to use the mods i have to their full potential, the cheapest way possible.
i have the whole skunk2 valve train and the stage 1 cams. also have just bought a V-afc II and installed it, i have made VTEC engage at 6400rpm but then hits the limiter too quick....!
any cheap and cheerful ways to "de-restrict" the limiter?
cheers guys.

I don't think so. Those are your options. Or a piggyback instead of a full standalone should do it. But chipping it would probably be the cheapest route.
edit:
opps, beat me to it.

Gotta get your ecu chipped... A couple people here do it, or you can buy a prechipped ecu, but you will pay a lot for that.. I chip ecu's for $75 and that includes return shipping. I think if you can afford the valve train you can afford chipping :-p

Yeah, just pull the Fuse that says "REV LIMITER/DOME LIGHT" and that should do it. Its under your dash in the passenger side fuse box, behind the ECU next to the 3 purple wires and 1 green.
