also you might want to think about fuel cut-off switch just for extra protection, and an alaram if you dont have one already.

run a search. I know there was one explaining the procedure just a few days ago.

What does an alarm have to do with autocrossing?

edit:
no need to run the search. Here's the link. A couple post down in there, there is another link to the how-to. It's actually being done on a 92-95 Civic.

no problem, but you didn't answer my question. I'm still confused as to what an alarm has to do with autox.

I think he doesn't want it to get stolen before he has a chance to take it autocrossing.

I don't think thats what he meant. If he did then I would think you would want it on there before something happens and you don't have a car to autox with. To me it sounds like he's thinking the alarm will have a negative affect on him autoxing in some way.

maybe he just doesn't have a good one, I don't know. You can't judge all alarms because one alarm has problems. If I were you I would have an alarm and other forms of anti-theft. The first thing I did after I bought my Civic was buy an alarm.

edit:
oh, and my alarm has lifetime warrenty on parts a labor. So if anything does go wrong I'll just take it right back to them.

yeah, definitely put time and money into your cars security. If not, whats the point in putting all your time and money into parts for the motor, suspension, interior or exterior. If you don't do some sort of security your just a sitting duck waiting to be hit.

You might want to check with your parents home-owners insurance to see if the wrench and stuff is covered. Sometimes they'll do that. Of course it was proabbly just enough stuff that you won't meet the deductable.
