Alternator Replacement
Can anyone tell me what alternator is compatible or will work on a JDM B16A1A OBD1 PR 3 ECU engine and what cars did this engine come on originally. I need to want to replace water pump, hoses, timing belt, gaskets, distributor, plugs, wires, rotor, etc. Also, can anyone tell me what would be the best exhaust system for this set up. What size exhaust system should i be running with this stock 170Hp motor.
Thanks,
flaco loco
P.S. I am just a good Dad trying to help out and support my son's interests.

Not sure about the alternator, I'm sure you could go to a local parts store and get a crossreference to different alternators. 2.25" for a stock B series is plenty, larger if you plan on raising the compression or going turbo. Avoid Autozone or equivalent water pumps.. They are teh suck, I'd go OEM Honda. An NGK plug with a heat range of 6 should suffice.

so you have a pr3 ECU, and your obd1? i think your obd0 and you have the 160 hp b16a1
i run a 2 1/4 inch exhaust, its great. i wouldnt plain on goin any bigger unless your gona be slapin on a tubo soon

I completely agree with this! Honda Parts only, maybe a little more expensive but WORTH it.
