QUESTION - 80's T2 Sunbird Turbo - Garrett# TB0205
Hey Guys,
I found one of these on the internet for sale and I wondering what the specifications are on it? I don't even have a picture of one.
The turbo supposedly came from a 84-86 Pontiac Sunbird GT 1.8L. As far as I understand it is a oil and water cooled turbo, but I cannot find any a/r specifications on it. Also I am wondering what range of PSI it can handle.
Thanks in Advance,
T

go to the tech area, then look under turbo and then turbo again.
gives a list about halfway down of production car turbo specs. I think that one is listed there.
I'd go dig them up myself but I'm at work and my home pc is down so I dont have my link database.

if its the same turbo I saw on a sunbird at a local yard, it is WAY too small. get a straight t3 50 or 60 trim for your z6 if your on a budget.
Hey,
Thanks for the information guys. The information that I have read and what I have heard is that this turbo is Very very small.
I am planning on starting out small, like under 7psi.
For 7psi on stock internals(d16z6), what would be a good choice for a turbo?
