Driver side door does not lock, using the alarm remote when pressed the alarm arms itself and the passanger door locks, The driver side door does not lock and it does not lock using the keys, I removed the panel and checked around.. the linkages seem fine and nothing looks broken or messed with..

Do you think it could be the door lock control box? or something busted with the lock itself (the part that latches to the car body) Any help or thoughts would be appreciated..

 

Can you hear the acuator try to move at all? I'd check power right at the actuator before and after the relay.

 

If it doesn't lock with the key the problem is in the door,lock linkage is broken,disconnected, or jammed.

sounds like the actuator is bad.

 

Factory or aftermarket locks? If aftermarket then it is normal for the key to be harder to turn, especially if the actuator is blown.
