Which intake manifold flows better ?
"89 SI D16A6 IM" or "95 DX D15B7 IM" ?

i will vote D15B7. the B7 design is 99.9% identical to the d16z6 intake manifold, which supposedly flows better than the d16a6 manifold. All i know is that the B7/Z6 manifold looks a lot cleaner than the a6, which has the nasty dashpot valve and a very old look to it.

Until i see proof that one manifold outflows the other, i will belive that they are very similar if not identical. A side by side comparison will reveal that d16a6/d16z6/d15b7 manifolds appear to have identical dimensions and ports.

Plus, if you use a b7/z6 intake manifold, you have the option to replace the stock throttle body with any number of b series throttle bodies for very little price, whereas the A6 manifold doesnt have the correct mounting flange to accept it.
