I am looking into getting a car that has a 99-00 SI tranny and I wonder what is needed to install an ITR FD in the tranny (I thought all that was needed was the ring and pinion). Also at 80mph what would the RPMS be at with each FD? I searched and the thread I got were not necessarily pertaining to the USDM SI tranny (I am not knowledgable to tranny codes sorry). I know that the SI and USDM ITR have the same gear ratios.
Also where can one purchase synchros for a SI tranny? How hard are they to intstall?

Try ATS-USA's website. They have a graph that compares various transmissions with different gearing. Very helpful.
The website is http://www.a-t-s-usa.com. Go to the ATS products selection on the menu and select gears. Then select the Final Drive gear. The graph is on that page.
As far as the parts needed to make it work, ATS has a parts list for their 4.9 Final Drive. In the description it says to make their 4.9 Final Drive work, you need three JDM Honda components unless you have a transmission from a 98+ JDM Integra Type-R. I don't know if these same parts are needed to make a 4.7 Final Drive work, but they might. I would contact either JHPUSA or PasswordJDM.com since they sell JDM parts on their website. Or even give ATS a call. They also have a sweet 1st gear that I would love to put in my 99 Si with a 4.7 Final. They will definitely be more knowledgable than my retarded self on this stuff.
You can probably find a transmission through one of those websites mentioned above as well, but I have learned to not buy anything over the web unless its new or I can go and get "touchy-feeley" with it. I've gotten burned too many times with that crap. You can also try to find a junkyard that has any wrecked 99-00 Sis in them. Worst case is you go and order one from Honda. Yeah, you'll definitely pay more, but at least you know it is brand spankin' new with 0 (hopefully) problems. Just my opinion. Good luck with the transmission and I hope some of that helped.

cool thanks alot
, I might have solved the problem since my friend has a gsr tranny with no grinds he is willing to trade for the si tranny. If that goes through I most likely will get the 4.9 final drive.

just checked the link and the only thing that sucks is that I was looking for rpms at 80mph and they list them mph at 8000rpms for each gear. thanks for the link though as I will contact them for more info. Thanks again.
u say u want to install a ITR FD. i assume u mean JDM ITR FD. u will need a GSR or ITR differential and the 4.78 FD kit. i got mine for $350 shipped i believe from Hmotorsonline.
