air conditioning just went out in my 89 crx dx and the service center want $1200 for a new compressor and labor. f--- that! so anyways, i was wondering, what (if any) compressors are compatible with the stock one? like is a 92-95 civic compressor compatible? lemme know, thanks.

 

http://search.ebay.com/crx-com...omZR8 here you will find over 20 a/c compressors new and used for about $50-$200 for a crx. BTW i believe that the DX had a SANDEN compressor. Its very easy to replace, may have to remove your radiator but thats about it. worth doing yourself

BUT!!!!!!!
they want that much money because your system isnt converted to the new type of A/C coolant!!!!!!

thanks for the advice, i will check ebay out later. but first, i wanna check out what the locals have. that is why i am asking if any newer ac condensors will work. thanks again.
