Looks like H5 is a fun class. If I lived in the states, I'd be running H5 too. Unfortunately, to run in Quebec where we have much more open classes, you've pretty much got to build an H1 to survive.

I really am amazed at how many Honda guys end up in the grass under control. I guess that's the beauty on FWD?

Must be... I hit the grass in turn 9 at full power...lifted for a slight second in the grass to gather my thoughts and just put full power on again once back on the asphalt... I think I did the same at Turn 3...wait...I think I did the same at turn 1, 5, 6.... ok...I need to be a better driver.

Grass for us RWD cars is almost always very bad news.

remember less weight as well, it easier to pull a car through slick conditions than it is to push a car through

Thanks. As I learned in the schools from my instructors, I have no HP so I better learn how to keep up the momentum.

Oh, as for Honda Power Equipment...

Been there, done that. It took me a few events to realize that it is necessary to unbolt the lawnmower blade from under the car before an event.

Good job man! I hope to start my first race next month too. That is if I can get off my *** and get into the garage! GL the rest of the season.

Well, folks had been telling me to try being more aggressive on the start. And it almost worked. I think hitting that anthill slowed me down.

I drive the red S2000 (rwd)......i lucked out I think.....4 wheels through the grass passing 3 wide 944's going up to turn 10 right before the bridge..... i somehow made it back on but I think my life and a bunch of $ flashed before my eyes as I was going about 100mph towards a big pile of tires that protect the bridge abutment..

I think you lucked out also. You endangered yourself, the three 944 cars and all those immediately behind you.

IMHO, which sometimes counts, it was a low percentage move.

Jim - i posted on the honda-acura.net board..... i am almost certain i really didn't have much choice.....maybe slam on the brakes and hope like hell no one behind me didn't hit me...

I was already in the spot that the 3rd 944 moved into.....i could either let him hit me and push me into the dirt or just go into the dirt.....(or like above, slam on my brakes)...... Not sure if anyone has a video or not, or if anyone really cares, but I think I followed these 3 944's through almost the entire carosell....they knew i was coming! Just my view of the deal..... I didn't enjoy the dirt at all.... that is not my kind of driving....gotta lock in the hubs next time.
