question 1/4 mile
This is probably a stupid question that i could of looked up, but i want to hear from the pro's. Whats the S2000's 1/4 mile time, stock. I went to the track last night and an S2000 was running 15.6-15.8... ( i thought they were high 13 cars) The S2000 is amazing and i really like them but i was confused on the times. was that guy just a shitty driver or what? It appeared to be completly stock...The S2K at the track was imbarrasing me as a S2K/honda fan, all my buddies were giving me **** (Mazda/nissan/mitsu-fans).. any response is appericated..
Sounds like somebody was asleep at the wheel or got a 3 second 60' time in that S lol. Typically with a good driver and decent launch, expect low-mid 14's in the quarter. A few rare instances excellent drivers with near perfect launches have gotten high 13's.
most of your average drivers will get that time that you mentioned, you have to launch the S just right to get a decent time, and it is bad on your drivetrain. Trust me, I know the rear diff won't hold up to a lot of stress.
i've ran mine a couple of times stock motor, and the best i've ran was a 14.2 and the worst i've ever run was a 15.0 and that was the first time down the track and i bogged....
so a 15.6-15.8 = really really bad driver...
so a 15.6-15.8 = really really bad driver...
don't forget WI has a higher altitude than most sea level states. Less air, less power, slower car. Still 15.6 is just bad. A stock GSR with a novice driver can hit that.
