alright, well since no one replyed. I went to the dealer ship. and I obviously had the stupidest dumb **** working there

here's our conversation:

me: Hi, I need a shift boot from a Civic type R
him: ok, what year civic ?
me:96-99, try 99
him: ok what modle.. how many doors ?
me: eh.. it's a Type R, 2 doors
him: ok, what model ? CX, DX, Si ?
me: Type R !
him: Type R.. what is Type R ?
me: a civic type R, it has a b16b in it.
him: only integra have Type R.
me: ok.. (stupid dumb ****) try SiR

bla bla bla

any ways, he gave me this from a 99 SiR, but then i though maybe those are the shift boots that are on the dash.

keep in mind that these are the candian models.

here's the product number that he gave me: 83414-s02-a50za
will this fit? and does it have the red stitching that I'm looking for ?

is this the one I'm looking for ?
can someone please help me

no such thing as CTR in cananda or states. only in ukdm or jdm. so if you went to teh delaer in cananda asking for a part for a CTR then you are a retard not him. how can you bash him becuase he doesnt know what that is if they dont even have it?

on you

You can get any of the knockoffs and make them fit your car in a hurry. You just need to rid it of that rubber band thing around the base of so many cheapy ones.

Sure it will. You can get a CTR boot from overseas if you're patient and want to pay shipping as well. Im sure one of our European members would help you out.

A USDM/CDM ITR shift boot won't come with red stitching. In the end you'll end up buying a shift boot that comes on regular Integras. Only the JDM ITRs came with red stitching shift boot. eBay is your best bet, they are cheap and they always have them. The ITR boot is more rectangular than the CTR, so get the ITR and swap boot frames from your car.

Don't blame the guy at the parts counter. He was just doing his job. You ASSumed. There was your first mistake. I don't see what the big ******* deal is about having it now now now. No dealership is gonig to have it, unless they cater to the "import community" and have a division that sells peformance products and imported "JDM goods".

So suck it up and go to one of the shops online and buy one. If you were planning on going to an Acura dealership and buying one outright, then you might as well just find one online and pay overnight shipping for it. You'll still probably come out cheaper.

Well either way doesn't look like your getting one from the dealership.
