Just recently got my Skunk2 S2 cams(thanks to mini-crx for a great deal) I was wondering what would be the best type of pistons to get. I was also thinking of a thinner head gasket. What would you guys get, and why?(please reply)
Thanks
I did a search but didn't really answer my question

I am trying to keep the cost down so OEM would be nice, but some forged pistons aren't out of the question. What did you have in mind?

If you want to keep the cost down, try a set of Topline ITR pistons. There are many people using them without ant complaints, and the price is very reasonable.
You can then mill the head or block to reach a desired C/R.

I was wondering if it would be OK, but I guess not. I really don't want to introduce my valves to my pistons.

More like tapping the pistons on the head. Not very desirable for engine longevity.

PR3, P30 or P73 with a milled head.
I'm running stock PR3 pistons with the head milled .03. It's good for about 11:1 compression on the stock head gasket.
Also, I'm not a fan of thinner headgaskets. I have never personally used one. But I have friends that have. Thinner headgaskets seem more likely to leak. I'm not saying if you use one that you WILL leak, but it seems more common.

What do you mean by wrong? Don't they have less CC than a P30 piston?
And I agree about getting the flat faced valves.....that's further on down the road for myself too.

Yeah I'd like to keep it on pump gas.(91 here in AZ) Sorry I didn't tell my engine but I'd figure you guys could get it from my SN. Thanks for all the input!
TECH43 do you guys sell a kit? Goes from 1.6 to 1.9, how much for that?
Sorry again for not including my engine, but you guys are all smart!
