heat always on
i have a 92 accord and the heat won't turn off. The problem started when i turned the heat up and the **** broke. After that the car absolutely blasts heat. In the winter it's kinda nice but in the summer, i can't turn the fans on or anything and obviously the ac doesn't work so it gets hall hot. I think it was also making my head unit over heat as it would get extremely hot if i was using it for over an hour. I've used the fan control **** to tunr the heat control back down but it didn't do anything. How can i fix this?
Follow the heater hoses to the firewall. You should find a valve that controls how much hot water goes into your heater core. Check to make sure the cable that goes to it is hooked up. Then check to see if you can move the valve. If the cable moves but the valve won't you probably need a new valve. If the valve moves and the cable moves you may just need to reattach or adjust the cable. Occasionally you need a new cable but usually it's just a bad valve or a cable out of adjustment.
