Default D15b help please...i'm swapping now!

New information:

we get it fired up and it idles fine and the timeing is corret but when you go to rev the motor it bogs and sparks shoot from where the distributor hits the block. Then you loosen the distributor and it revs just fine. I'm not sure what the hell the problem is and i could really use some help. I'm about to have the bitch towed to a garage and have somebody get it running right for me.

i did not change the timing belt. This motor is supposed to have 35000-45000 km on it. We are trying the old distributor from my other motor and if that doesn't work i will die. I have been up since 12:30 this morning working on this peice and i'm getting a little angry about now

Im doing the same swap so I know the feeling of frustration. Take a break and relax, go have a smoke if you smoke. Cuz your gonna end up hurting yourself if your frustrated by not using your head.

Yea it is a VX timing belt but if he didnt change it then it still most likely has a vx timing belt. You can check by looking at the number on the belt, it starts with P08 I believe.

start doing everything, reset the ecu. check the fuel filter, check the tps, check the egr, everything. to me it sounds like a timing issue, but you never know

it's always the simple things... make sure you don't have any sensors switched, and also check your firing order.

The proper distributer is one from either the Z6 or Z1. Did you check to see if the wiring of the B7 dizzy is the same as either of the above? If you didn't, I'll bet that's your problem - - the timing will be way off to if the electronic part even works.

lol. Man I feel this way with my car everyday. Once I started messing **** up with my car I feel that it is a piece now. But it will be back one day. So all I can say is keep messing around with your problem if not SHOP time.
