Default question on OEM fpr... dohc vtec vs d series

I just completed my ef hb si b18c1 swap. Well heres the thing. My gsr b18c1 swap did not come with a oem fpr... so what i did was use my stock d16a6 one...

<FONT COLOR="green"> Do you think they have the same psi setting in the diaphram?..
I would hate to be running lean.

D16A6 Fuel Pressure: 36-41 psi

B18C1 Fuel Pressue: 39-46 psi

You check fuel pressure when the vacuum line is disconnected from the pressure regulator and the engine is at idle.

so d16a6 36psi at idle and 41psi at idel w/out hose connected?

No, that's the pressure range it should fall in between without the vacuum hose connected to it.

With the hose connected it'll be about 10 psi less at idle, since the engine will be pulling full vacuum, about 20 in hg vacuum is close to -10 psi. With the vacuum line disconnected is the pressure you'd see at wide open throttle, or your max pressure when you are N/A.

hum ... ok since the range on both motors overlap one another it should be fine to run a D16a6 fpr on a stock grs right?

I think you'd be safe to run the A6 regulator. If you have a way to check fuel pressure, I'd check to make sure you are close to the GSR fuel pressure with the A6 regulator.

for how cheap fpr's are why risk it. If you are running lean it'll do more damage than the price of the fpr.
