89 CRX ... will B16A motor foul bonnet?
I have noticed the head on the B16A is about 3/4" taller than my D16A.
How do I get around the problem of the new VTEC hitting the bonnet?
Is it necessary to fit the SiR panels with higher bonnet or are the Hasport mounts designed to lower the engine so there is no bonnet clearance problem?

Good to hear from someone in OZ.
I would definitely consider the B18 if one comes my way, but I hear they are more expensive to source.
The B20 would be too much trouble for me, need engineers report as >15% over original capacity.

John, i was asking the question to the other guys:
do the Hasport mounts fit with an Si hood using a B20VTEC engine?
i will be doing this swap in a month or two and just want to confirm the Si hood will clear the slightly taller (7mm) block...

They clear also, though it is very close. The padding on the underside of the hood rubs the valve cover though. There is enough clearance between the firewall if youre using a gsr engine also, but theres less than an inch between the IACV and firewall.
