Question on lowering 04 accord
I just purchased a 04 accord and I want to know the pros and cons to lowering my car. I want to put 18's on it with 225 or 235. I only want to lower it about an inch to fill the gap in the fender-well. Will this do any damage to the car? Is it as simple as changing out the springs? or will I have to do other things to keep the ride? Any help will be apreciated...
The pros i guess are a lil better handling and better looks.
The cons are you gonna need to spend some money and dont get the cheapo stuff. Besides the springs you also need shocks built for lowered cars and camber kits all around to save your tires. A dropped car means more scraping and tearing up the bottom of your car if you are wreckless.

if you're lowering it just an inch to cover the gap, why not go all the way and just get the 19 inch rims, with the 235 [wider] tires. it'll look so much better, and your 18's might look smaller then it appears. but back to "1 inch" doesn't make much of a different, with the '04" the wheel well is so much bigger/larger. My car is the '04 sedans with the 18" EacingHart C2Evo's w/ the larger lip, and i've lower my car about 3" {just under 3") and my car looks awesome and rides pretty damm good considering the how much I dropped it. Hey dude or dude-t? go with 19's if you haven't already purchased your wheels. I've have skunk2 coilovers, and two extra sets if your interested in purchasing the suspension, nuch ride for your bucks!!!
I am looking to drop my car too (04 Accord coupe). I got the Sportline Eibachs...which will drop it 1.8". Are those top quality springs? Also, what can I do to prevent scraping the bottom of my car? I looked down there and the pipes and stuff look so clean and new still...hahaha. Any suggestions to make my car still ride smooth? Oh, and will the springs void my warranty? also...(sorry got so many questons...Im a newbie at these things) my manual says that I have stabilizer bars on my car. Are they talking about sway bars? What I am trying to accomplish is better handling.
a 1.25" drop shouldnt hurt ur stock shocks but from experience change everything at the same time even if u go with the regular tokico blues. and most definately do ur camber from day 1 unless u plan on getting coilovers and adjusting alot. also there is nothing u can do about scraping the bottom of ur car, just dont go over speed bumps like a maniac.
