what car is it going into?

do you have an audio console or front console you could put it in?

i stashed my "brain" in the dash, but i dont have NAVI so it didnt have to be parallel

the n1 install is just alittle bit harder, you have to run power into the brain this time. and have lots of other wires and **** coming into the deck and out of the deck.

the navi tends to just need a VSS wire... ok well higher end units do, such as the alpine unit. They use the vehical speed sense wire to be able to track where you are if and when the GPS signal is lost. The alpine unit uses the VSS wire combined with gyro's to be able to guess pretty damn accurately when you make a turn, what speed you're going, etc to be able to guess your GPS location even if the signal is cut out for a decent amount of time

how baut the parking brake wire. if I run this cable to the ground cable will that be bad. supposly that will make it so i can play dvd while im driving(for the honey). I love to take road trips and she would love it. from manual

Used to detect the ON/OFF status of the parking brake. This lead
must be connected to the power supply side of the parking brake
switch. If this connection is made incorrectly or omitted, certain
functions of your navigation system will be unusable.

im thinking that if it isn't made right it wont play dvd.
any thoughts

we have installed a ton of theese at work so far this season. the main thing i think that needs improvement is their gps antenna, it is a very slow antenna. otherwise it is a pretty decent unit. it is a great "bang for the buck" unit.

when you install the n1, just ground the e brake hook up wire. that will make it so you can do all functions while driving. try that. its easy to hook up.
