DX to SI tranny build
From what I've read I can take the final drive from an SI and put it into my DX tranny to make it an SI tranny. Can anyone confirm this. Does someone has the gear ratio's for the dx tranny? Thanx
yes, you can install the Si final drive into DX transmission - not all that hard to do - gear ratios for DX are the same as the Si, except for final drive
1st 3.25 - 2nd 1.894 - 3rd 1.259 - 4th 0.937 - 5th 0.771
DX Final - 3.888 Si Final - 4.25
1st 3.25 - 2nd 1.894 - 3rd 1.259 - 4th 0.937 - 5th 0.771
DX Final - 3.888 Si Final - 4.25
yup DX and Si can basically be told that they are the same... differences are like 0.001 or something... nuttin u can actually tell
as far as the final drive swap.. yes... take the ring gear off the Si differential , and change it for the DX one.. also along with that u need the countershaft from the SI, wich u better off just swapping the whole countershaft over
