is there a diff in the intermediate shaft on a 90-91 and a 92-93 b18a?

i have a 91 b18a with an intermediate shaft thats marked 90-93 from the wrecking yard that will not bolt I had it bolted to the engine before the tranny was on. a few days ago when I was dropping the engine in I decided to pull it back off before installing the tranny tranny installed I slid the intermediate shaft back into the tranny and tried to bolt it to the engine. with the intermediate shaft in the tranny its to close to the block for the bracket to sit flush to the block. I'll try and get some pix hope you guys know what I'm talking about.

 

Are you sure that you didn't get an automatic intermediate shaft by accident?

 

its a possibility. it bolts to the engine fine w/o the tranny but once its in the tranny its to close to the block for the bracket to line up.
