When my non-factory stereo was stolen out of my car (93 Civic EX) a while ago, the guys who stole it cracked the plastic plate that surrounds the stereo and climate controls and goes over the steering wheel. I got the piece from a junkyard, but the guys that helped me get it out had a horrible time getting it removed from the dash and couldn't do it without removing the whole dash. Has anybody had to replace just this piece and not the whole dash? Are there any tricks to getting it installed without removing the dash?
