I bought i new set of guages for my 95 Honda accord ex and i wanted to know if anyoen had any tips on installing them or just how to remove the dash without breaking the clips.

 

you have to remove the whole console area... there are a few hidden screws everywhere youll have to find before it comes out easily... if you feel even a slight tug, that means you did not find one of the screws and youll def. break a tab...

i dont remember where al lthe screws were, but its over 10 thats for sure... you dont have to really find all of em to get it out. but if you want a smooth in and out process then thats your best bet... some people just remove as much as they feel like it can tug out and yank it from there...

 

heres what im talking about i can get the left side undone witht eh screws that are pointed out but i dont know if there are more screws like in the ceneterconsole that attach the ac and heat part of the dash or clips that i might break if i just pry it off.

 

yes, there is a few more... i mreading this straight out my haynes manual,,, so hope this helps...

1.remove cruise control button
2.remove instrument panel brightness controller,hazard switch,rear defogger switch and unplug their connectors.
3.remove ashtray + holder (the holder is attached to the underside of the pocket below the stereo by 3 screws)
4.remove console
5.remove radio
6.remove center + left side airvent
7.remove 6 cluster bezel retaining screws
8.grasp instrument cluster bezel securely and pull out sharply to detach the clips, then unp;ug the electricla connector and remove
9.reverse for install.
