Default Getting Prepped up for the XSI swap...

alright, before i do this swap. this will be my first bu i have a friend helping. i need to know exactly what i need. i was told the xsi engine should just drop into my b18 mounts, also i bought a Vtecfrog obd0-obd1 harness. i just wanna make sure everything looks right. double check.

Tools - 10mm, 12mm, 14mm and 17mm short and deep sockets.

i read that the xsi header is short and wont connect to the catalytic converter, can i just use the b18 header for now?

and whats the best oil, i hear a lot ppl sayin valvoline , but one guy said 5-30 one said 50, so what do u guys tihnk is best.

is gettin a head ported for 100 bucks a good goin price? he hot tanks it aswell.

thanks.

pretty sure that is all you need for parts I never did the swap so I don't know sounds about right though only thing you may run in to is connectors no matching on the wireing harness itself other then that you seem to have your **** togather

Those sockets should be 90% pf the bolts

Worse case the ls header will bolt up I am pretty sure

Mobil 1 is used in all high proformance cars so what do you think also if it is a new or rebuilt motor don't run syn till after maybe 2nd or 3rd oil change. 10w-30 for me

I would think that is a resonable price never had that kinda of work done

i just completed my xsi swap in my DA two weeks ago. i take it u already kno about how to add the four vtec wires to ure b18 harness(my b16 wiring harness came cut .) and yes the b16 header is shorter, i wouldnt use the integra exahsut manifold because its a 4-1 manifold, the b16 is a 4-2-1. i took precise measurements and took my b16a manifold to midas and the fabricated it to fit by welding an extension onto it. thas all i got for now, but if u need to kno more just ask, i kno all about this swap, and the problems u will run into.
