Default 1991 CRX FAn always running? WTF!

hey everyone, i have a 91 dx crx and after the car warms up, the fans i noticed are running all the time..the car isnt over heating because the temp gauge is reading normal..Is the fan supposed to be on all the time or is a relay going bad or something..please help

it not suppost to run all the time

but i dont see any proplems from this its just coolling your eng. down

but if you want to change it just cuz it buggen you then is most likely a wire thing.

Basically the relay has been bypassed and your fans have been hotwired to run all the time. This does cause problems after a while as it will burn up your fan motors.

Trace your wiring from your fan and see if its been spliced or changed, if you need help lookup the diagram on the web as to the correct wiring schematic.

The thermoswitch on the back of your block that controls the fan could be bad. Disconnect it and see if your fan stops running. If it stops, you have a bad thermoswitch.

Could be true about the thermo switch, but in my experience they have faulted opposite (open) where the fan doesnt turn on.... Either way, you have some things to check out, good luck
