Thats strange, because the only light I throw off is the VSS which is due to a bad cluster gauge. Are you sure what code your throwing? Are you positive that you know how to retrieve a code? Are you sure your ZC has no EGR Valve? - Darrell

I could be wrong, but the only way you'll throw an EGR code is if you are using an ECU from a car that had EGR on it.
If you're using an 86-89 Integra ECU from a 5-speed model it shouldn't be throwing an EGR code. If it is then that's the first I've ever heard of the Integra 5-speeds having EGR. Some autos did, but not 5-speeds to my knowledge.

Yeah I'm pretty certain the engine itself doesn't have EGR, but what I'm saying is that the ECU determines whether or not you'll be throwing an EGR code.
Question:
Exactly what check engine code(s) do you have?

well i was told it was out of a 5 speed teg
the light was also on when i ran it with the hf ecu now it was a 5 speed for sure
(but a that time the speedo cable didnt work)

You can run an auto ECU in a manual car without any problems.
Check engine lights come on for all sorts of different reasons. What code was the HF ECU showing? I would BET that it was for the VSS since the speedo cable wasn't in. Speedo cable also runs the VSS. I doubt it was the code 19 that you have now.

i will put the hf ecu on it and see what code comes up
maybe i need to reset the ecu
how long do i leave the battair dissconneted to re set it or ill just unplugging it reset it.

ok..
if you use that teg ecu you will throw code 19 cuz it's an auto ecu
if you use the HF ecu you will throw EGR code cuz the ZC doesnt have a EGR system.
for NO codes you will want to run a 88-91 Si (pm6 ECU) or 88-89 5speed Teg ecu (pg7) or if you can find out a JDM ZC ecu (pm7)

yhea thanks man i was out side and swaped the ecu and then it hit me that the hf had the egr
and then auto teg ecu that you said early made sents to me
