Could I plug in a PM6,7,or 8 inplace of a PM5? Would the engine run? How "Stock" would this be? My dad had a 89 civic LX sedan and it had a PW0 ECU in it. Could I run this ECU? I would like to get the ECU done and ready for my eventual MPFI coversation. I can proably change pins in the plugs but dont have the resorces to add sensors or any major wiring like that. I've done some looking around and can find squat an DPFI Roms and the like.
BTW it's a 91 Civic LX Sedan

You can and cant run the mpfi ecu on a dpfi car. What will happen is it will send too much fuel through the two injectors becuase it is looking for 4. Anway it will run but it will run like crap i would not do it. Just hold off untill you have everything for you MPFI swap.

Just do the whole MPFI at the same time. The wiring might seem like it's a big deal, but it's really not. I might take you an hour to do since it's your first.

Ok, lets be realistic, what would a MPFI cost? How much would the intake manafold, the MPFI injectors and other stuff needed cost? Does the dizzy allready have the TDC sensor in it or do i need to get a dizzy that has one?
