Default neglected GSR

i picked up a GSR shell that had been sitting for about 8 months, aside from a thick layer of dust its pretty nice... but the rotors are all rusted, can i just get them resurfaced or do i have to replace them for some reason?

ive heard cross drilled breaks crack between the holes , which is very possible if you think about it, since you are drilling holes into a solid piece of metal you are making it weaker... if u get brembo get cross slotted

Brembo makes OEM replacement rotors too, not just cross drilled and slotted. You can get them for pretty cheap... about $25-30 each.

You do know that exposed metal such as that which compose the rotors will rust overnight, right? I think you should drive the car for about five minutes with normal braking first. Then, after you see that all the rust where the pad makes contact has disappeared you can make the decision of whether or not you need to spend more money.

Or you could just save your money and turn them.. Also, if you drive it (I know it is only a shell) the rust would wear off on its own. It is normal for rotors to rust after sitting.

why don't you drive it around first and brake a few times and then check up on the condition?

my rotors rust up overnight from dew and look brand new after i drive down the hill.
