Default Idle problems

Just installed a rebuilt B18c1 with Crower Valves,Retainers, Skunk 2 intake Manifold mated with a an Edelbrock 65mm throttle body. The motor was taken apart port and polished and the whole nine; well after putting it back in and and connecting everything we tried to start the car, its started but then revved to 3000 rpm for 30 seconds and then slowy idled down till it sputters to death and then dies. If you try to start it again it will crank but won't start(you have to wait about a minute to get it to start) and it will do the same dang thing! We took out and cleaned the IACV and even bought a new fuel filter, thinking that it might be a fuel issue. Also, no CEL and not even throwing a code. I'm spent on ideas and will gladly ask help from any Honda-Tech Gurus. Thanks guys.

Sounds shitty. Don't know what all you tried but maybe a butterfly is sticking in the throttle body(if it has multiple butterflys) (like the gsr i think), coil is taking a ****, try resetting the ecu agian. Do you have the right ecu? Are all the grounds hooked up. Well all in all it sounds definitly like a fuel problem or ecu.Check to see if your fuel pump is getting all the volts it should. Check cap and rotor. Finally check the injectors to see if they are spraying.

well thats it from me sorry it is not orginized but just calling **** off the top of my head. Goodluck check back when you fix it i would like to know what the problem was thanks.

We, did reset the ECU (took out the fuse) but not sure if that is the right way to reset, but I was thinking that if it was electrical would it throw a check engine code? but it hasn't... still stuck.

Just disconect the battery for 10-15 seconds that will reset the ecu. other then that go over the whole fuel system.

I'm having a similar problem with my rebuild. Does the Skunk2 manifold have ports for the FITV?

ive had idle problems with my skunk2- type-r t-body setup on my b20 also. surging up and down. the high idle problem could be a vaccum leak, did you use a new t-body gasket? i solved my high idle with a new gasket, of course after that it started to surge up and down......argh.....anything on that anyone?
