engine swap opinion
ok guys here we go, i just want you opinions and suggestions.. i have a1994 LX.. f22b2 non vtec... is there a swap i could do for my car and if so which would be the best one to go with.. not looking for exteme power, but just enough to hold me over.. or extreme power,.. lol
again...this has been covered in so many way it isn't funny! the H22 is the best route to take if you want a marginal increase in power. i tackled this same question for almost 6 months now. my finaly conclusion came when i aquired an F22B2 short of the exhaust manifold. my current project consists of tearing it apart and replacing everything that would need to be replaced....forged pistons/rods (not sure if im gonna do the crank) and while im at it im going to get it resleeved and bored to the good ole 2.2L TURBO! yes im going to go turbo. you will see a lot more gain with the turbo'd F22 over the stock H22 (although you can build the H22 up as well). all depends on what you want though. you can turbo your stock F22 with 7psi daily safely (maybe 10 psi depending on age, etc...) and you will see a nice gain. figure out exactly what you want and how much money you want to spend.

Well that pretty much wraps up all my thoughts too

if you want more bang for your buck you will most certainly have to go with the turbo F22 setup...anyways give the F some love. there arn't many fully built F22's out there that are putting out decent power (compared to all the H22's)....join the few and the proud!
