yeah I seen em FS on ebay for a while,
i guess only for wrx tho..
look pretty good,
was thinkin of recomending them to my buddy, he has a wrx.

did you notice the "boost" a friggin advan RG knockoff!
course theres lots of rg knockoffs out by other companies already,
but they're all more "inspired" dont look exactly alike,
these are pretty close to the original..

but again... i feel kinda bad about that..

Yes, a Torque is a knockoff of a Work Emotion CR.

Funny thing is, the Real deal Works are cast. They hardly weigh less than the Rotas. Save yourself $400 and get the Rotards.

yeah that boost is a real close rg copy.

the torque really isnt though(of the work).
the edges are much sharper, and I dont think the works lip is quite as pronounced.

I wouldnt even call it a knockoff.

If anyone remembers the konig traffik,
I used to have those wheels, and really loved them(they're actually still in my avatar).
They looked "kinda" like the rg's.. but really were quite different, its the same sorta thing,
I wouldnt callem a knockoff, more of an rg "inspired" design.

oh and I dont think that link posted can handle much bandwidth,
it was up earlier.. but I can't get in now.

Funny you mention CR. They are FORGED. Kais are Cast.
"Real deal" Emotion CR are about 400/wheel.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Are you correct?

http://www.modacar.com/Merchan...WORKW

Modacar lists them for $220 each. I highly doubt those are forged.

If you notice on the page, that is the page of the cosmic marketing group. Cosmic is the official distributor of rotas in the states. Therefor it's legit.

Also, as far as I know the Boost is a copy of the SSR Competition/Type-C. The Advan RG's are similar, but the spokes are shaped differently, they almost look more "bowed" if you know what I mean. Also, on the Advan RG's the spokes attach to the inside portion of the wheel and then there is a bit of a lip where the blue advan racing sticker is put on. On the Boost/Competition's the spoke is attached basically to the outside of the rim.

See what I mean?

Yea, the boost looks more like a SSR comp ripoff to me.. RG's and Comps are pretty similar in design anyways.

you guys are trippin,
the boost look exactly like the rg's,
those pics side by side look even more alike!

your right about the shape of the ssr spokes vs the rgs..
but you can only tell from an angle,
the bost pic is dead on front,

and from what you CAN tell from the front, it looks exactly like the RG's.

i used to be a 6spoke ******* freak man..
i know my 6spokers...

only thing missing from the rg on the boost is that ring imbetween the lip and spokes, the rg's have it painted blu, but there isnt even a ring at all on the boosts..

am I over analyzing ? yes...
should i stfu cuz i post too much lately.. even moreso yes...

Depending on the offset and colors, these may end up being my favorite Rotas

Good point.

I do like Rota, but I gotta admit I wish they'd stop. Why don't they start making some original wheels? They obviously know what makes wheels look good since they seem to rip off nice ones.
