OK folks- I have confirmed that the resistor and capacitor in my TCM are kaput. My next question involves seeking a spot of mercy from someone and I'll tell you why- I am on an EXTREMELY tight budget and a $100 rebuild is a LOT of money to me right now. I can, however, operate a soldering gun. If someone would be so extremely kind as to tell me the specs of the resistor and capacitor, I could do the work myself with no problem. My fingers are crossed in hope someone will help me out there...
