Default waxing with new paint

so i am getting my car out of the paint shop on thursday, and i don't know if it will be okay for me to wax it immediately, or will i have to wait a while, does anyone know???

from what ive heard from many different ppl is that you should wait a good 2 weeks before you clean it.. let the clear coat sit. be patient.. it will reward you in the long run with a nice clean shiny paint job.

why would you even want to wax it right away?? paint jobs usually look awesome once they come out of the body shop already

yeah...definitely wait a while. you can hose it off and stuff, but no chemicals.

i wouldnt even wash for for the frist couple of week.

unless it's baked like OEM paint, the paint will need to breath, so no waxing for a month or so. well, you dont really need one, because they bodyshop should've polished the paint already.
