i went to check out this 94 ls recently. 117k miles on it for $4100, new paint on both bumpers. overall it was clean. he said no accidents, but i checked where the the spare tire was and sure enough there was bondo . and i checked the engine bay and found sand paper, any reason why it would be there?

How would we know?

Could be many reasons.

1. Left there from previous body work.
2. Someone just put it there
3. Flew up from the street into the bay as the car was moving.
4. Someone was trying to polish something in the bay and left it there.
5. There's a mini sandpaper factory hidden in your engine bay.

Look at the finish carefully and look for any sand scratches from bondo. And what do you mean you found bondo by the spare tire?

I've found odd things in my car when I bought it. So far it has been a little picture of some black girl, a tiny black glove (that was wedged in the dash between the steering column), and 53 cents. Oh yeah.

I found a small pair of wire cutters wedged between the firewall and some other part. It was apparently left there from many years ago when I didn't know anything about cars and had someone install my stereo.

Must have been in there for like 3 years or so. They weren't rusted at all and I still use them.
