Quick question about clutch stage...
Planning on about 200-225 N/A...got a clutchmasters lightened flywheel...which stage clutch should i get...stage3 good? how much horse can each stage hold? tried searching...
all it says is that it holds 110% over stock...dunno if thats would be good enough for me though. wanted to kno the max hp for the stage 3
My personal experience:
a couple years ago I went with a CM stage III on my 92 teg, and after a very long break in period, (like 1500 miles
due to the kevlar), I found that I wish I had taken the advice of a guy over at RPMNYC, who said to just go with the stage IV since they are both the same price. But I didn't cause i was concerned about streetability..........then I tried a friends stage IV, and realized I should gone have gone witht eh stage IV. It flet just as streetable.
the stage IV can handle more power (def 225hp), has a spring hub just like the stageIII, and has a much shorter break-in period (like 500 miles).
Anyway, go with the CM stage IV if you are considering the stage III
good luck
