Car got hit!!!
So last night my car got backed into on the rear quarter panel by some bitch. Anyways, she left her information and actually reported this to the police so I shouldnt have problems getting money for the fix. I just wanted to know what I should do to get the most $ out of this. At least get the rest of my dents taken out too.
Is this even possible to fix w/ paintless dent removal? Is that the best place to go for a quote?
Check it

Let me guess, she was driving an SUV.
Man that sucks. At least she left her info, most people now of days will not even do that. Take it to at least three shops for an estimate or contact her insurance company, The QTR panels on teggies are weak as hell, the metal has been too fatigued to repair, and it would take way too many hours & lots of bondo. I would just replace the QTR panel. $1500 to $2000 to fix it right, let us know what happens.

Yeah, I am ******* heartbroken. That car is my baby. It was definately an SUV. Anyways, I didnt even know if it was possible to replace that quarter panel. Does it simply wrap up onto the roof of the car and run beside the top of the door? Is the top part around the sunroof a seperated peice?
Anyways, i'll keep everyone updated...Getting quotes monday

Wow, that's a pretty big hit.
Well, it was good of the lady to leave her info, you were extremely lucky. If you have all her information, then you will have no problem getting everything fixed. It's just a pain in the ***.....that's all accidents are.

There is a series of spot welds that need to be drilled out that run from the b-pillar, through the wheelhouse along the rear body panel, and up the C-pillar. It will need to be replaced and any good shop would splice it in on the C-pillar and the rocker.
HEY, THATS EXACTLY WHERE I GOT HIT... but mines a little bit worse..
girl backed up in a ?malabu? on the same side, but hit my molding (DA) and dented the fender cut out/wheel whale. the worse part of it is.. on da's, not sure about dc's, but where the fender curves for the wheel whale, theres a flat surface for the blk molding to go on, she hit that and knocked it in into a V shape.
still waiting to get money on that. and she phuked up my rims too!!!
it can be fixed, for mine, i got an estimate of almost 2k.. it was actually like $1850.XX, and that was for removal of interior panneling, window, the blk lining in the wheel whale, labor, fresh coat of paint (on section) and full buff to match.
so that should give you an idea.
if you want the most money, go to the most exspensive place you can find. and get the quote and send it to them, and they'll send the money.
but insurance company's also have paint and body shops they work with personally so you might have to settle for that.

Thanks man that helps a lot. I just talked to the chicks roomate and she said the girl was busy with her family today. Hopefully she'll either call me tonight or early tomorrow. I would liek to get the ball rolling on this as fast as possible. I hate riding out w/ this huge dent. Would it be wrong to try to work a full repaint on my car b/c of this? It doesnt really need it but the rear bumper, front bumper/lip and hood could use it b/c of the small chips from driving(totally unrelated to accident), but I figured I could say I dont want my paint to not match after they put the new panel on. Anyways i'll continue to keep everyone updated.

Hope you get that fixed and as for getting the whole thing painted try to argue that the new paint won't ever match the old and it isn't your fault she hit your car.
Some times you can get your insurance company involved and they'll sometimes fight for what you want.
Another friend got rear ended and the ladies insur was dicking him around so his insurance company paid to have it fixed then sues the ladies insurance company for the repair.

you could work a new paint job to this, but you'll have to pay for the rest of the paint job, they'll only pay for whats damaged. so you can get an estimate on the remaining balance of a paint job, and they can do that for you.. but they wont pay for a full paint job..
trust me, i tried

Haha, fuxors. I guess i'll just try to get the best place in my area to do the job. Hopefully they can do a good job paint matching.
I'm still waiting on biatch woman to call me back. I think I would try to be near a phone if I knew someone was gonna be calling me about something of theirs that I fucked up....

They shouldn't have a problem blending it if you go to a nice place. My friend's EVO's quarter was smashed and they had to fix it and paint it. It matches perfectly. It should match yours too considering the paint is only like 5 years old.

wow, that looks horrible. it's definately fixable though. i've seen dents way worse than that on the 1/4 panel and the paint matching was perfect, even on 10 year old paint..
First off, sorry bout what happened. As for being fixable, it is. I don't know bout painteless dent removal. I would bring it to a local shop and get it fixed. Good lluck and hope you everything works out.
Yeah, I am just happy the damage is isolated to the quarter panel and no other places, however my ******* oem side skirt just popped off the last plastic thing that holds it on in the rear. I guess b/c the quarter panel is dented in down low too, putting stress on the side skirt. I also noticed the skirt was cracked on the very back(part that faces the tire). I guess that will be bondo'd and repainted as well.
Maybe I can claim those scratches on the door around my handle are from her and get that taken care of as well

Just talk to the guy at the body shop where the work is gonna be done, and see if you can get him to throw in a few more labor hours here and there, so either way he gets the money for the repaint, but your wallet doesnt get any lighter
