Default HELP WITH WIRING! please

Dammit......we-todd is down......i'll try my best

Swapping JDM GSR into 2000 CX Hatch OBD2 engine running OBD1 US P72

Well the engine is in and we primed it and started it up and began to smoke

A square plug off of my stock CX harness was plugged. so while wiring up everything we figured it'd stay plugged. It's a square two wire connector Red/Yellow & Black/Yellow. I kept it capped and when we started the engine with the dizzy connected the thing started smoking and we got to it before it melted. Someone (turbogixxer) said that it was for my IAT Sensor. I said no...lol....My Haynes showed the plugs and colors for the IAT. Civic was Red/Yellow & Black/Green w/ square plug.......and GSR was Red/Yellow & Black/Green w/ round plug so we swapped plugs and connected it.......

Now I read through a few IAT threads and a few mentioned that the 99-00 SI harness IAT plug was just that..Red/Yellow & Black/ Yellow......do I throw a round connector onto these two wires in question and plug to IAT?.....If so.......then my question is......where does the Connector with Red/Yellow & Black/Green go to?......

It's now 6AM CST...and I've got it all in...been out there since 9PM lol......
Hopefully I wake up by 6PM....and hopefully I got some replys with a few solutions...well just one that many agree with

TIA

It is your IAT. That is not a plug, it is the actually sensor. You must cut that OBD2 style plug off and splice in the OBD1 style plug and extend to the back on the manifold where the GSR one is.

alright....now I'll swap plugs off of those 2 wires Red/Yellow & Black/ YEllow and plug a round 2 wire plug into the IAT. Anyone have any guesses as to where the 2 wire connect Red/Yellow & Black/Green go that I have currently taking up the IAT?
