Default Refurbishing Swirlies!

hey guys i got some curbage on my swirlies and was wondering what can i do to fix them. I started to sand them down a little today, but how do i get that polished look back to them? i used metal polished but it still looked dull, anybody out there with lip/rim polishing experience share a lending hand? thanks alot guys

I think you should be able to polish them back with steel wool... working your way down to the super fine grades and then polishing compound. Have never done, just assume it should work. You wouldn't have the clear coat that part anymore tho.

could u take them to a shop and have them dipped? i was considering doing that to fix mine. a friend said he took his 17" rims down to mexico and got them dipped for like $50, i havent asked any shops up here about fixing rims yet

I think you are talking about Chrome Dipping the rims? The stock Swirlies are not Chromed.

they are polished with a clearcoat on top.
