Default h series tb...

Has anyone used an h series tb on their b series mani? I did a search and came up with nothing. I ask because I put a tb off my h23 on a 93 ls intake mani and it went right on. The only thing thats questionable is what iac will do to the idle. Eveyrthing on the iac's look the same down to the spring rate, except for the location (h23s is on the tb) and theres an extra hole in between the two o-rings on the mating surface going to the coolant area. My best bet is to use the iac off the tb I'm using and block the other off. Anyone try this???

I have an H22a tb on my B16. I bypassed the coolant so it goes straight from the spigot on the head to the IACV on the back of the IM.

B16's have the FITV on the IM rather than the TB so I didn't have to worry about that. I had the H22 bored to 63mm and it didn't come with a FITV on the bottom of it so I had to make a plate to block off the bottom, also made a gasket out of gasket paper.

The other vacuum routes were much the same, I also didn't need the throttle dashpot thats comes stock on the B16a1.

This info may be different depending on what B series you have.

Its a b18a im thats going on a b20b. Sorry, I got the iac and fitv mixed up in my first post. Did you leave the fitv on the b mani and just disconnect it from the coolant? Did you have any idle problems? Thanks.

Nah I didn't have to touch the FITV on my B16 because it has its own coolant lines and is seperate from the TB.
I did have some idle problems until I got my tps set properly.
