Default Im the new guy

Hey guys i am new to honda but not new to cars. I used to have a neon but it just had too many problems. Lately i have been thinking about getting a honda accord like a 3rd or 4th gen. But the problem is i was wondering if it is possible to get a h22 motor into the 3rd gen? Also i have read the accord faq and it is great to have that there. Also what series motor is the ls vtec? I have a lot to learn about Hondas.

Okay, your best friend is the search button. That's really helpful.

Ummm . . . anything is possible with money but h22 into 3rd gen is not practical. You want a 4th gen (90-93).

LS VTEC is an integra/civic thing (B series). Not much use for Accord owners.

Or my personal favorite, the 5th gen

not to scare you off from honda, nor this webboard, but if you are looking for easier cars to work with and more hp per $, honda's are not the car for you...nissan would probably be your best bet...though, honda's are more reliable than neons...anyways, if you do decide to go with an accord, welcome aboard...

get a 4th gen and get a dsm turbo, you should be able to have fun + enjoy the extra horsies... and you can always upgrade if you decide on more boost. only if the damn dsm worked for 5th gens

can't say i blame you for dropping the neon...they make the damn valve covers out of plastic on some of them!!!

I second the nissan thing as well, if I did it again I'd go that route. There are guys pushing 400 hp naturally aspired on their maximas...I **** you not!!! Just dropped a used engine (65k miles) in my roomy's 96 maxima for $275 I think it was. Very fast cars. My 96 EX can't touch it. Check out http://www.maxima.org for more info. Not always the easiest engines to work on (timing chains suck) but as we found out they're not bad to swap.

i'm a traitor i know but i won't lie to you, maximas start with more hp and have more potential for the same amount of money
