i want some ac in my 89 hf with b16a
I just got my 89 crx swapped with a b16a with s1 tranny and pr3 cpu (if that really matters) I have heard that there are harnesses and or whatever else i need to get the ac to work. Where should I turn to get some ac?
Well you need all the stock crx a/c pieces such as the condenser, evaporator, hoses, filter drier and wiring harness and compressor. Once you have all of that you will need an a/c conversion bracket. This can be purchased from hasport and it isn't cheap.
After that is all done you can simply bolt on and charge it with an alternative refrigerant. You can't get r12 anymore and you can't really use r134a b/c it permeates through the rubber hoses and it gradually lets out the freon.
products like freeze 12, duracool, red tek will work fine.

You can buy the ac bracket from a del sol vtec, I think its like $100 from majestic honda http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com .
