Hello, I am thinking of purchasing a Honda CRX Si 1988. I was wondering how hard are they to come by for purchase in good condition or should i just expect to by a poor condition car. And how much I should expect to spend.. Thnx for your help... Also are they fairly easy,fun, and affordable they are. I have never workedon cars so plz on a scale of 1 to 0 how hard are CRX to customize?

If you keep the stock motor they are very easy to work on and trouble shoot.

I wasnt very good and started on a crx, after 3 months I learned basics like oil changes and chianing all the fluids, then I got into body work and fixed all my rust and molded a body kit/shaved some stuff, then painted the car.

Then I did an engine swap with some upgrades, then a nitrous kit

Id give them a 4/10 on the difficulty

And ya I had the same feeling about buying a 14 year old car, my floors were rusty and quarterpanels were done

Now everythings all dandy and Im gonna drive it for this summer, then buy another one and go the performance route

 

How rare and expense are they?

 

the way it's going with people chopping them up, wrecking them and ricing 'em out they are getting harder & harder to find nice clean ones. if you do find one hold on to it and try to keep it nice

I am saving to buy one do you guys/girls have any good links specificly relating to the CRX? Also where should I look to buy one? Thnx
