ok I did disconect the EGR valve and the hesitation at 1800 to 2000 rpms disapeared. Now How do I know if its its the EGR valve or the ports or both? the engine has 160K miles on it . Where can I find a article on how to clean the ports and or the EGR valve ? thanks I hear its not that hard but thats about all I have heard. I need some more detail on whats involved before I get into it.

 

the ports are clogged,look under your fuel rail,you will see a plate,remove it,fuel rail must come off first.after you get the plate off,you will see the ports that are clogged,use a sharp piece of wire and poke it in until it is clear. very easy to do.
