17's vs 15's...
k, are there any differences in size between a set of 17's with 205-40-17 tire or a set of OEM steelies off a 91 DA with orig tire size, i think thats 195-50/60-15? (not too sure on the middle number)
i know more and less tire, more and less rim.. all that.
cuz i got 17's, and im lookin at other rims, sizes, blah blah, and the tires on my 17's are going out, and i still have some tread left on my steelies, so i was goin to swap them until i get new rims and tires. and my car's lowered 2 inches so will that bring my car lowere to the ground if i put on the 15's?

It looks like you have the correct size on your 17's to match the diameter of the stock 15's with tires. If it does change the height it will be very little. </TD></TR></TABLE>
what sizes do people run on there 15's and 16's? 205/__/15-16??

you could put the old wheels on, i have the same springs as you and i'm running 195-55-15's all around, it works great, you will actually be lower to the ground
, if you're into that sort of thing.

i am into that sorta thing, but this is the catch. i got s.techs on my ride, 2 inch drop all around.. and my car's about 3 inches, maybe 4 max, off the ground from the lowest point of the car, which suprisingly is the headshield on the cat. i can bairly put my pinky finger between the tire and fender gap... its pretty low, i dont really wanna lower it anymore.
what about getting some 16's. what would be a good tire for there? 205/ /16?
or think i should just keep the 17's

You are correct, all oem wheels for DA integras were 14" and tire size was 195-60-14
As for your size question.... why don't you help yourself and do two things... First use a measuring tape and measure both sets, that should give you a close idea of size differences. you can also measure circumference by rolling the wheels, then caluculate diameter. Second, you can just calculate size by the size written on the side of the tire.....example, 195-60-14, calculate 60% of 19.5cm, double this number and add to the cm equivalent of 14" This gives you the diameter. But remember you will actually want to look at the radius since the difference in radius between the two sets of wheels/tire will determine how much of a height change you will see when its on the car.
Most likely the 14's will be a little smaller, plus they are larger sidewall and a bit softer sidewall, so they'll flex more under pressure. But stock wheels/tires and a 2" drop still isn't that low. Yeah, maybe a tiny bit lower than you're used to now with your 17's, but nothing dangerous, nothing you can't deal with until you get new tires, or deal with forever for that matter....

stock g2 has 195/60/14

the closest tire size to stock with a 16 inch rim is 205/45/16
and closest for 17's are 205/40/17
my friend just changed rims on his teg and he bought the rims with 205/40/16's and they were a good anound smaller than the stock 14 inch rim 195/60/14
