Default i neeeeeeed some help please!!!

ok, i have an 89 crx dx, d15b2 motor. i was wanting to kno if the head out of a 87 rs integra (d16a1) would bolt directly onto my d15 block. i was told by one person on a local forum that it would not work because its a DOHC head, but i dont understand why it wouldnt work, its still a d-series head and still d-series block.

please help me out, one guy is saying it will work, one is saying it wont.

i need an answer!!!!!

Well, first off. D series engines are SOHC, whoever said a D16 is DOHC is smoking crack. Your only Good option, is a MPFI & Mini Me conversion. For the Mini Me conversion you'll need the D16Y8 (SOHC VTEC) head, an OBD0/1 ECU and harness, the MPFI setup... Do searches, there is plenty of information on HT about MPFI and Mini Me conversions.

86-89 Integra motors are DOHC and the engine code is D16A1. Although they share very little with any D-series motor.

I have seen proof that if you have a machine shop machine either the head or the block a little, it will work. Something about one or two of the water passages is off by a little and needs to be opened up. Why the hell you would want to do this though, is beyond me
