I'm kinda perplexed at why my Fuel gauge, and Coolant gauges arn't working.

I checked the wiring, and its fine.

When I start the car, the fuel gauge kinda sweeps slowly, and eventually just pegs at Full (I know my tank isn't full. The coolant temp gauge doesn't even move. It stays at dead cold...while my hondata is reading 180degrees.

any ideas?

Your fuel gauge wire is prolly shorted, crossed, or wired wrong that is the only reason it would read the wrong signal being a different cluster you shoud make sure its wired right.

I checked the wiring. The only thing that I have changed is I wired the Teg plugs onto my 91 harness. I checked the wiring from the cluster plug, back to the plug at the sender. Came out fine. I dont think it would be shorted mainly because I didn't touch the wiring other than where I soldered it for the plugs.

Do the other cluster gauges (tach, cel...ect) all use the same ground? if so thats not the problem (everything else works fine).

You fuel gauage is in working condition because you can see it sweep. It's not reading right so you know something is wrong.

Either the cluster is forked up or the wiring is off a bit.

Hey did you ever get your P28 Bryson? Did the guy with the Zydene get it fixed?

Welp...I know the cluster isnt fubbered...so it still has to be a wiring issue. WTF.
I wonder if the ITR cluster is different from the GSR. I've been told it isn't, but now I'm just wondering.

I never got the P28...He fucked me, and I got him banned. His Zydne was fine the whole time...he just had his O2 sensor wired wrong, yet he still refused to send me any compensation. Pissed me off so much.

 

did you take teh needles off? if so make sure they are pushed in all the way. I made the same mistake on my cluster, hope thats helps

when i put my ITR cluster in my EK a few of the gauges worked and a few others acted all funny and it was because of a ground issue. you are aware that there are two different ways that integra clusters are pinned on the rear right? i think it changed from a certain model year to the next. I know that when I put a 2k GSR cluster in my 96 GSR it didn't work at all and acted all screwy. Maybe you're wiring up the cluster using the wrong pinout sheet?

Just ideas...

from what I heard the ITR cluster layout is the same but the green circuit board on the back is different. I will be doing this cluster swap soon and found out you need to use a 94-95 GSR circuit board.

I also just found out that when I turn on the brights, the cluster just turns on both turn signals...

Is it possible to swap a 94 cluster backing on to the ITR cluster? (I would assume so). If I can find out the differences, I might as well just change the wiring however.

heh, i figured that would be it, but i didn't want to assume. yes, you can swap the backings from the two different year clusters. or you could just repin to the 01 pinout.

 

I have a feeling its going to be pretty hard to get the 01 pinout...

 

why you just need a 01 ITR ETM. go to your acura dealership and ask if you can peruse theirs while you're there.
