Default REV TO 12K

ok my friend was telling me he found out how to rev to 12k rpm. first you have to take out the ignitor in the distbuter because it freeks out at any thing above 9k. then you have to have a msd 6a ignition system, and wire it up directly up to the distbuter. this lets you go that high and still be able fire correctly, and safely. If any one else has heard of this let me know, i think me and him are going to try this next weekend on a 89 civic hatch.

You guys don't need to be working on Hondas.

EDIT: if this is just to blow up the motor though, should be fun take pics!

yah, great info. now only if your motor will survive. or maybe if somebody actually made power at 12k..

i can rev to 12k if i go onto the highway at 200 kph and downshit into 1st gear. wheeee.... what fun!

Be confident. Make sure you are 50 miles away from home when you decide to wind it up.

your friends a ******* idiot and so are you.

12k on a stock motor? HELL! 12k on a built MOTOR!!! dosn't happen too easy. Try it everyone of your valves are going bye bye, then there go your cylinder walls, your head, your pistons, your motor is gone, don't be a fool, put the wrench down and step away from cars for everyones good

haha. I love that movie! Apparently he had the longest reverse gear ever made.
Whats the point in reving to 12,000 RPMs? Going to race some indy cars?
