Was $2k the asking price? It sounds good to me if you're looking for a hatch with a B16 already in it. Have you seen the car in person yet? Everything look good and not like a Mickey Mouse job?
If you don't want to build everything from ground up then
Just hope it's not been raced out. Normally people sell them for 3-5k+. What's the mileage on the chassis? The motor?

</TD></TR></TABLE>
not sure about the miles yet.
the original price was well he was testing the waters.
someone offrerd 2500, he said that he wanted more like 3000.
im offering 2000 and he says that i got it.
not that i dont want to build it myself.
Just that i dont have the time. to spend building it when i dont have
another car to drive in the mean time.

Understandable. Be sure to do a leak down and compression test on motor. I've read stories about motors getting blown because compression's high and what not.
The car looks clean. I'm curious as to why he didn't take the other guy's offer. Why would the owner settle for less? Unless the other guy flaked.

yeah, i htink the guy either bought something else or something.
cuz he said he was going to hold it for that guy the one offering 3500
so i guess it just fell threw.
should I try and get it tested before I buy it?

$2000 grand sounds low. if i were you i'd just take my money and do it myself, you would know it's done right that way. i bought my car with a b16 in it for 3000 and it didn't even make it home. i learned from mistakes. some good advice stay away from anything that sounds like a great deal.

Get it tested. You never know what he did to that car. The last thing you want is to have a lemon and then have to put more money into it just to get it to run right. Thats the money that could have gone to performance parts or anything.
