Default new shoes and project for weekend

new shoes

new stopping power

Question to the experts, Helms shows that spindle nut needs to be removed to remove the rotor, but looking at it, I don't see the need. I got the impact driver for the set screws.

Shouldn't need to. Once you get the calliper off it should just pop right off.

I didn't think that I needed to remove the spindle nut, either. I am not so sure about the "pop right off" part though. I still have to remove the set screws, and then thread 8x1.25 mm bolts into the other two holes to pry the rotor from the hub. As per Helms manual.
I will do it this weekend and post how it goes.
