Targa Top CRx?
I really want to do this mod to my crx. I've only seen one picture that someone attempted to, and it looked convincing. My question is, how would you fit the door up to the roof piece? WEld both together then cut from there? Weld then fill everything all nice? Then cut, then find a way to secure? If anyone has any info, help is much appreciated, thanx! - Jon

I've never seen it done personally but there's no reason it would be that difficult, I've seen convertable mini-trucks and by looking at how it's done there I don't think it would be too difficult on a CRX. I imagine it would be more difficult finding a kit because the minitruck ones have the mouldings pre-cut for the specific application, but installation itself should be cake.

It isnt that difficult to do. you just have to reinforce from where you are going to start to cut till the end and also along where the door ends. it is very important that you do this because by removing the top it put a lot of stress on the car. After this just clean up your cuts and put new moldings on. make sure you put a lip for the top to sit on. You may be able to subsitute a del sol top but i am not to sure. I have only done this twice on a 3000gt and a RX-7. I will try to get some pics up , and i hope i was some help.. good luck man..
